    April Update: Conventions Ahoy

Hi everyone! April was another weird month for us. Plenty of waiting for projects, plenty of preparations for the upcoming con season, which we haven’t had to prepare for in two years now. Because of that, we don’t have a whole lot of new stuff to show you this month. The both of us are also deep into starting work on our comic projects, but lots of those are in beginning stages. Here’s where we stand with each of them right now: Paint the Town Red (Volume 3): Scripted, thumbnailed, now on sketches. (Campaign is in June) Augustine: Scripted (first chapter), now on thumbnails. (Launch is in August) The Sanity…

    March Update: What’s Ahead

Hello everyone! March was an interesting month for us, and admittedly, we don’t have a whole lot of updates! But, we’ll go over what we can, share some exciting news and what we have planned coming up the next few months. SHOP STUFF We have a handful of products in our shop that are running low on stock, and chances are once they’re gone, they either won’t be coming back or won’t exactly be the same (hmm… that’s almost poetic?) There’s only a few copies of the original print run of Myth Retold’s Iphigenia left. This one is fancy, printed with risograph and includes illustrations! Once it’s gone it’ll return…

    February update: kickstarter launch

Hello everyone! This newsletter update brings you some exciting news: we have launched the Theropod Dinosaur cards campaign!! Most of this newsletter will be covering that, but we have some other fun announcements, too. First, on to the main show! The latest campaign for our first ever deck of cards is live as of TODAY. We are incredibly excited to bring this project to life, and we are truly proud of the work we’ve created for it. The cards came out gorgeous, and we hope you all will enjoy playing with them! (The prototype we have has already been tested thoroughly, and we loved it). Each face card is designed…

    January update: hello 2022

Hello everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Obviously, the state of the world has left things a little shaky. We’re doing our best to navigate it. We’ve already had to switch gears a little with our projects for this year, but mostly it’s just rearranging. Without further ado, let’s delve into where we’re at, and what we’re hoping to achieve this year: PRISM KNIGHTS Prism Knights is a series of short novels written by J, about queer knights, based around fairy tales. The final components needed for the Prism Knights Kickstarter is coming together. We obviously didn’t want to pressure our cover artists over the holidays, but…

    October-November Update: Ending the Year

Hello everyone! We’re winding down to the end of 2021, and so we decided to combine the October and November update as October was spent mostly waiting on ordered projects. As we slow down to the end of the year, it’s likely we will not have a newsletter update in December, unless something big happens! We (try to) take December off from work and focus on resting and holidays as the year ends (but knowing us we’ll probably still spend the month cooking up something). For now, though, let’s dive into what we’ve been up to lately, and what we can expect before the holidays: PRISM KNIGHTS Prism Knights is…

    September Newsletter: Kickstarter Aftermath

Hey everyone! This was a weird month for us–it was mostly devoted to our latest Kickstarter. Therefore this newsletter is going to be pretty short and sweet. Let’s dive in!   PRISM KNIGHTS Prism Knights is a series of short novels written by J, about queer knights, based around fairy tales. Prism Knights is still being chipped away at, and we’re on schedule. Currently Juniper is almost finished being edited, and Lamplight is halfway through writing. We also have some cool news: the new versions of Coquelicot, Bronze, Sapphire and Velvet have been printed: So where’s that leave us? Our plan going forward is: Finish writing Lamplight and send it…

    July-August Newsletter: The Big Shuffle

Hey everyone! Wow, how is it the middle of August already!? Turns out July ended up being just really busy for us, and we totally missed making a newsletter for it. So we’ll be combining it with the August one for now! We have some interesting announcements for this one: some good, some bad. We also had our first table in over a year last week, at Montreal Pride! We’re hoping cons will come back (as safely as they can) soon. But that was probably what made us lose track of time, because it’s been so long since we prepared for one! Alright, let’s dive in to some of the…

June Newsletter: Better Late than Never

Hello hello! This post is coming a bit belated, since June was a busy month full of Kickstarters, and we wanted to give it some breathing room. There will still be a July newsletter at the end of this month, too (hopefully). Well, let’s get into the stuff we did last month, and our plans for this month! PRISM KNIGHTS Prism Knights is a series of short novels written by J, about queer knights, based around fairy tales. The Kickstarter for Prism Knights was a resounding success! Not only did we smash the main goal within the first few hours, but we unlocked every. Single. Stretch goal we set out…

    May Newsletter: Shops and Kickstarters

Hey everyone! We hope this month has been kind to you. It feels like it just zoomed by for us, honestly, but we still managed to get in some work, somehow. This update is going to mostly focus on two things: the new stuff in our shop, and the upcoming Prism Knights Kickstarter this June. Before we jump into that, we’re happy to say that all three previous pending Kickstarters we had (Paint the Town Red Volume 2, Myth Retold and the Underworld Pins) have all officially been fulfilled! Oh boy, hopefully we never have to do that again! Anyways, onto the news! SHOP STUFF We have a whole lotta…

    April Newsletter: A Quick Break

Hello everyone! April is nearly over, and that means it’s time for a monthly update! This month was mostly a wrap-up month–finishing up Kickstarters and a lot of super fun maintenance stuff, like accounting and site managing! Yay! Unfortunately as cool as that sounds, it’s not really sharable, so this month’s update is also going to be pretty short and sweet. Before jumping in, though, we want to thank all of you dearly for making our shop opening a big success! We’re floored by how well it was received. We have lots of plans with it in the future, and the fact it’s already handling well gives us hope we’ll…
