July Newsletter: Sales and Signings
Hello! Here we are with the July newsletter… in the middle of August! Oops. We’ve had conventions at the beginning of every month this summer, and that’s definitely taken up a lot of time. It’s also not about to change–we have one in the beginning of September! But we do have some stuff in the works in between these conventions, and some fun news to give you guys!
Pin Sale!
We’re currently having a major pin sale on our shop right now! This is mostly on the Greek Mythology pins, that have always been a favourite. We’re running low on a lot of them, and we’ve made the decision to end this run of the pins. Therefore–once a design is gone, it’s gone for good.
Does this mean we’re no longer making Greek Mythology pins? No! We have plans to create some new designs, but we need to get rid of these ones first. We will likely not be making all pins for every god this time, and it’ll be a much smaller, more manageable set. We hope to Kickstarter it, once most of the pins are sold out.
So, these pins are on a special half-off deal, until the end of August! Help us clear out these old pins and make room for new ones in the future!
Lost Time Signing!
We were graciously invited to the Pointe Claire Indigo store in Montreal to come sign some Lost Time books!
We’ll both be there August 31st, from 11am-3pm! Come say hello, bring a book to sign, and prepare to be asked what your favourite dinosaur is.
Kickstarters + Campaigns
Here’s a little update on the status of our current and future campaigns:
Seven Deadly Pins
This one has largely been fulfilled. We just received the pin banners, and shipped out any orders that had them. Here’s how they look!
We’re currently just waiting on the keychain and patch now, as the last items needed to include in orders that had them. Once we have them, we’ll ship it out ASAP!
We also added the Seven Deadly Pin set to our shop! You can get it here! (We’ll be adding the banner and other Deadly Sin goodies soon)
Dino Loafs
The Loafs are officially in production! We finalized the tag design for them, and gave the thumbsup to our manu to start production. The estimation we got was for it to be finished by late August. Afterwards is sorting out shipping to us. Currently, this leaves the Loafs having a delivery to backers before Christmas, if all goes smoothly! Fingers crossed!
We also got the sticker sheet and charm delivered, so that’s all ready now. All we need is those plushies!
Prism Knights
Those who follow our socials might have noticed we floated around a Kickstarter preview page for another Prism Knights campaign. It was originally planned for July, but… that didn’t happen. But it’s not dead–we’re hoping to launch it next month. What’s it for, exactly? Well… we’ve officially ran out of the hardcover this year, and our mini books have also been dwindling. Printing costs have soared, and at this point reprinting the little books is getting hard to keep it at a reasonable price point. That, plus the series has been around for around 7 years–like the pins, it’s time we moved forward!
Obviously we don’t want to leave Prism Knights behind, though! So we’re looking to Kickstart a softcover anthology edition. Hardcover is also very pricey, and hard to carry around–so we really wanna do a nice softcover print that includes all the beloved stories!
Winter’s set up the page for it here. We’re planning to launch it September 17th, so follow it if you want to be notified when it launches!
Conventions
We’re slowly getting through our convention gauntlet. Our next one is:
Ottawa Comic Convention (OCC) – Ottawa, ON // September 6-8
This is the first time W&W has officially done the Ottawa con, so we’re excited to check it out!
We wanna also thank anyone who came by at Otakuthon, that con was a lovely success! If we were a little drained by the end, please forgive us, it was a hot weekend and the AC in the building was barely working.
General Reminders
Here’s some nifty reminders for the stuff we have going on constantly, and therefore I regularly forget to mention. I always try to go over noteworthy things in these newsletters, but of course there’s stuff we always have updating that’s worth reminding!
- Both Paint the Town Red and Augustine are updating on their websites. PTTR updates every Sunday and Wednesday, and Augustine updates every Tuesday and Thursday!
- We have a Patreon where we post behind-the-scenes insight into our stories, early access to pages, as well as some NSFW art.
- We recently made a Linktree where you can find all our important links–the best place to follow us, aside from here, is Instagram. We also have a Tiktok where we make order packing videos! Maybe your order will be there?
- I (Tas) have my own website where I blog about random stuff (mainly Pokemon), but also where you can read about all my projects, current and future!
As a final note… you may have noticed our new logo on our sites. It was about time we did a little facelift on them, and we’re really happy with them!
