ALRIGHT, well. Hasn’t this year been… something? It sure has. Anyway, April itself was quite a ride for us, with every week having a Big Thing in the way, including 3 back-to-back conventions. But we did it–by god, we did it. And here we are in May–wait, what? May’s almost over already? What the hell–
Well, better late than never. Here’s a little spring newsletter for you guys, let’s dig into what’s been going down.
THEROPODS CARD DECK

Well, the biggest thing is we’re launching the THEROPODS RECOLOURED card deck! It’s launching May 20th which is TODAY! Please check it out and consider pledging! The dinosaur cards were some of my favourite little items we had, and I would love to have them around again.
Here’s a preview of what the alternate colours are.

This way, if you have the previous deck, you can still get this one and play them together! Yahoo!
We also have hopes to unlock the big stretch goal for a CERATOPSIANS card deck, so we can rock it with two different dino decks. Check them out! They unlock at 8k, and I think we can do that, easily!

There’s loads of cool rewards in this one, including our dinosaur merch, dino loaf plushies and a big box of pretty much everything dino-related. The campaign ends June 12, so hold on to it, and consider passing it around to pals who might like it!
THE SHOP
We added a few new items to the shop. Namely, the ANTIQUITY and Lil’ Harpy pins we recently crowdfunded, as well as a few zines and other goodies.

Another notable addition is our adult comic LAB PARTNERS, which is available in physical and digital for the first time since Patreon! If horny mad scientists tickles your brain, please, look no further. We got you covered here.

However, I must caution that we are currently looking down the barrel of another Canada Post strike, so there’s a good chance there will be a delay in shipping items out. We will update the front of the store with any updates on that as it happens. Good thing we have a ton of cool digital goods that don’t require shipping at all! That’s right, you can nab a whole bunch of our comics and stories for as little as 5 bucks CAD!
Also, please support the CUPW and their efforts. Canada Post does wonders for us at W&W, but it wouldn’t be anywhere without its workforce. These workers need to be treated properly. Postal services are also a right for any citizen, and W&W is strongly against any notion of privatizing this service. Consider following the CUPW and seeing what you can do to help them during this time.
COMICS
Oh, yeah. Comics!
Well, Augustine had to take a small break since April was so intense, and we ran out of our buffer. We’re literally one scene away from ending chapter 2! It’s so clooose! We hope to jump back into it very soon and give you that last little bit.
That might be the last Augustine we see for the year though. Why? Well… I got the green light to get to work on my next big graphic novel, The Curse of Blackwood Manor. So I hope you’ll understand that this book currently takes priority, and will probably take up the rest of my year with comic-making. I’m being nice to myself this time! When I was doing Lost Time, I was also working on Augustine, PTTR and SanCirc. I’m not doing that again.
I’m currently thumbnailing the graphic novel, but there’s a chance I might pop into streaming some of the sketches when I get there. I haven’t decided, but if I do, I’ll let you know in the next newsletter! (Hopefully. If I remember–)
If you wanna know more about Blackwood, I have a post on my site about it here!
CONVENTIONS
We’re also still not out of the woods on cons! But they are blessedly more spaced out this time. Here’s what’s up and coming:
FBDM-MCAF – Montréal, QC // May 23-25
TCAF– Toronto, ON // June 7-8
Montreal Comic Convention (MTLCC) – Montréal, QC // July 4-6
Montreal Maker’s Market – Montréal, QC // July 12-13
Otakuthon – Montréal, QC // August 8-10
We have a little CAF run starting very soon (this weekend!), and hey! We made it to Otakuthon this year! Yaaaaay!
As always, if you spot us at one of these, please say hey!
Which reminds me! We’ve changed up our display in the last few cons, so… Please look for the orange table cloth, and table that looks like this:

PERSONAL
Need something to read? How about an entire sci-fi story about a shifter alien janitor and their miserable life on a space station? Written in script form? Well, Winter has spent the last couple months writing just that, called Take Out, and posting episode-by-episode on their website. It’s currently complete, and you can read all of it right now! I encourage you to, because it’s really good.
On our Calgary Expo trip, I also got the chance to go to the Royal Tyrrell Museum again, and it’s always a welcome visit. If I could live in a museum, it would be that one. If you can ever make your way to little Drumheller, Alberta, I can’t recommend it enough!

That’s it for now! Have a lovely spring! Or autumn! Wherever you are!
Cheers,
W&W
