Windy & Wallflower has always gotten a helping hand from family and friends (most especially with conventions and things). BUT more recently as we spread ourselves out more professionally we’ve gotten a lot more help from outside hands. Here’s a page of professional people who’ve given us a helping hand getting our stories out there.
REPRESENTATION
AZANTIAN LITERARY AGENCY
Jen Azantian agents for both Tas & Winter for our published and professional work. If you like our work (most notably for prose, comics, covers, or illustration) then feel free to reach out and we’ll see if we can work something out.
WEBHOSTING
LRCKInfo
Family is as family does! We get a lot of help with internet, hosting and websitage through Winter’s folks who’ve supported everything we’ve ever set our minds to!
COMMUNITY
THE CARTOONIST COOPERATIVE
We’ve been looking to get more connected with the comics community after feeling so isolated and have since hopped in on helping out with the Cartoonist Coop. It’s been a little bit of an overwhelming year but the group is extremely inviting! Consider checking it out if you write/make/illustrate comics OR just love comics! They’re always looking for volunteers!
HIVEWORKS COMICS
We used to work with Hiveworks but have since cut ties. A lot of our reasons for doing so are similarly outlined in a recent letter put out by the Hiveworks Guild (which we were a part of): Read The Open Letter Here. We thought it was worth keeping this here since some of our books may still have the Hiveworks logo in them.
DISTRIBUTORS
EMERALD COMICS DISTRO
We had partnered with these amazing folks to help distribute our works. We’ve got nothing bad to say about them! The reason our work with them ended has mostly to do with the tariff situation in the US. Getting our books to them has become too difficult.
PUBLISHERS
PUTNAM
Formerly, PENGUIN RAZORBILL, Tas is currently publishing two books with them, the first being the one we all know and love, Lost Time.
QUINDRIE PRESS
Winter made a short comic for their anthology: When I Was Me: Moments of Gender Euphoria.
PRINTERS & MANUS
These are all the folks we work with to make the books and things that we make! There’s always way more people with hands on our projects making it possible to continue creating the stories and things that we do.
BOOKS & PAPER
LE CAÏUS DES LIVRES — MTL
We’ve been printing with Caïus for a long time. They do great work on short print runs (anything under 250). Fast & Reliable. They print a good 1/2 our table.
MARQUIS — QC/CA
Handles a lot of our BIG STUFF (orders of 250 or more, ideally over 1000). Absolute powerhouses, the staff is so friendly & easy to work with! These guys easily print the second half of our table.
JUKEBOX PRINT — CA
Handles a lot of our paper items: bookmarks, business cards, fliers, stickers, magnets. SUPER fast turnaround.
VIDEPRESS — CA
This Toronto-based Risograph printer is responsible for some 4×6 Violins prints way back when, AND the illustrated Myth Retold editions.
MIXAM — CA/US/UK
This group is a bit more of a printing delegator. While its been useful for a lot of our print runs (especially of the spicier variety) their quality (with each of our own runs) varies a LOT and is hard to pin down.
MERCHANDISE
POLYFORM PRINTING — MTL
I’ve got these guys at the top of our list because, guess what, they’re friends of Winter’s cousin and their quality is phenomenal. Our tote bags are screen-printed with them and we’re looking to work on a few more things in the future.
STITCH & INK — MTL
We make all of our embroidered shit with these guys: BIG patches, keychains & the first run of our Pretty Boy caps.
GS-JJ
We’ve been creating pins & small patches with these guys for years & years & every time the quality is incomparable.
MAKE PLAYING CARDS
We’ve admittedly printed only a couple prototypes & a full deck with them but the quality’s A+ every time.
VOGRACE
These guys make our zipper pouches & acrylic charms, very good standard, quality is consistent and real good.
STOCKISTS
Other shops you can find our stuff in!
Are YOU a storefront who wants to stock our books? Our merch? Please feel free to CONTACT US. We’re happy to work with you!
