Festival BD de Montréal (Montreal Comic Arts Festival)
I loooove to acronym this one FBDMCAF because it looks a little bit insane, and well this year it absolutely was insane for the two of us! I’ve been doing this show for about…. five years now? (Since 2016) and Tas has been joining me for about the last 4 iterations! They used to have this bad boy in the park which was (ngl) a little bit awful, so we’re really happy that the new venue is along a good chunk of St Denis street. This whole part gets sectioned off to a pedestrian-friendly zone which makes for a fantastic weekend outdoors for vendors and patrons alike! This year we…

Vancouver Comic Arts Festival
Or as everyone now calls it: VanCAF! This was our third time doing this show and, like our first time doing this one, the energy of it all was fantastic! (Our second time we were placed in the gym and… it was rough… less of a fun time admittedly… not sure its exactly fair that some exhibitors get placed in that part of the Roundhouse). We were admittedly a little bit nervous we got placed in the corner over here and were hoping this wouldn’t impact sales on our end too much (it didn’t, in the end, we were pretty thankful to have the extra space to move freely throughout…

February/March Update: Shop Overhaul!
Hey everyone! We’re coming in a little late with the February update (and early for March) because we’ve been hard at work the past few months putting together a little overhaul on our shop! This update is going to mostly go over that, and next month we’ll return to updates on what else we’re working on… But, with out further ado… behold, the new Windy & Wallflower online shop! From now until March 31st, you can use the code MARCHMADNESS to get 20% off your purchases! It still has all the old options the other one had, just a new coat of paint and also a few new items and…

January Update: Happy 2023!
Hey everyone! It’s a brand new year (and already a month into it). We’ve hit the ground running into this year already, and we have lots in store. So let’s dive right into what’s been going on, and our plans for the rest of the year… PAINT THE TOWN RED Our big leftover from 2022 is Paint the Town Red Volume 3. It’s still in the works, and we’ve been struggling to juggle it between our other comics and work. We don’t wanna rush this one, so unfortunately it won’t be hitting our January 2023 deadline. As it stands, it’s a “it’ll be done when it gets done” situation, although…

November/December Update: The End of 2022
Hello everyone! We have reached the end of this year, and are winding down to enjoy a little break until the next year begins. It’s been a very busy year. We returned to conventions, launched a new webcomic, completed a whole graphic novel, printed new things–it was a lot, and we’re very proud of all the work we’ve put out. Even November ended up being busy enough for us to not make this newsletter in time! Let’s delve into a little of what we were working on this month, and end this with what to expect next year from us… PAINT THE TOWN RED Paint the Town Red is our…

October Update: Winding Down
Hello everyone! Spooky Season has (sadly) come to an end. November is now here and we’re slowly winding down to the end of 2022. This year has been so busy for us! October itself was spent mostly wrapping up things and restarting the projects that had to be put on hold for August/September. Let’s take a look at that, and also what to expect from us in these last two months: But first! A reminder that today is the LAST DAY for the Spooky Sale on our shop! If you wanted to take advantage of the discounts offered this month, this is your last chance to do so! We’ve got…

September Update: Spooky Sale Season!
Hello everyone! September has come and gone so fast, and here we are entering the ever important spooky month. Which means: our annual spooky sale has begun!! We’ll go into some details about that, but first let’s talk about some other updates that happened this September… Augustine Augustine is a webcomic following the titular character as she and her friends stumble into an ancient artifact that draws the attention of powerful assholes, bounty hunters, and old gods. Augustine has been continuing to update through all of September! It’s building a sizable chunk to read. You can continue to follow along with it on its brand new site, every Tuesday and…

August Update: AUGUSTINE HAS LAUNCHED!
Hi everyone! Coming to you a little late with this update–August has been a wild ride of projects, but we have some very good news: Our new webcomic, Augustine, has officially launched! The prologue, with the first eleven pages, is available to read RIGHT NOW! You can start right here! We also have a brand new sparkly site for it, thanks very much to the team at Hiveworks for setting it up (and hosting the comic in general!) You’ll see that we also have About and Cast pages to explore! Augustine follows the adventure of August and her friends: Brick, Heti and Ande as they survive in the perilous region…

July Update: Shop Goodies
Hello hello! Somehow it’s already the end of July! As always, it was a pretty busy month, with successful cons, comics underway, and new merch! Also, unfortunately, heatwaves. But hey! We made it, so let’s take a little dive into what went down, and what’s to come… MYTH RETOLD Myth Retold is a series of short novels retelling Greek Myths with a queer spin. We have officially sold out of the risograph print of Iphigenia, and have restocked it in the format of the other two prints of Medusa and Atalanta! This version is not illustrated, but comes in a beautiful book with hotstamps and spot foil. Plus, the story…

June Update: Summer Fun
Hello everyone! June was a pretty busy month for us, but unfortunately a lot of that work is still under wraps… for now. Here’s a bit of what we had going on, and what to expect for the summer: PAINT THE TOWN RED Paint the Town Red is our collaborative comic series about the dramatic lives of queer vampires and werewolves. The PTTR V3 campaign ended on a very nice 7k! Thank you all so much for your support for our little series, we’re so happy to bring you more. On top of the book itself, we unlocked a couple of stretch goals with sticker sheets of the characters, that…
