Hey everyone! Just squeaking in for the April newsletter to bring you some news! In letter form! This one is going to mostly cover our updated schedule for the year in terms of conventions, as well as our next big Kickstarter campaign that’ll be launching next month! So, let’s dig in.
BLANKETS!
A few years ago we printed the King’s Grave blanket, which has been a hit ever since! Afterwards we made the Eyes of Antiquity blanket, and now this year we’re back with more blanket designs that we’d love to bring to life!
We’re planning to launch our new campaign May 26th, and the main goal will be to unlock our first new design: Cambrian Lullaby.
Tucked in the bedrock of the dawn | our early ancestors sleep | beneath the sheets of shale | dreaming of what they will be
This blanket is sort of a companion to the King’s Grave, depicting a Cambrian sea floor! We’ve received the prototype for this blanket already and was able to show it off at Calgary Expo. The prototype turned out great and got so many lovely reactions! We’re going to be tweaking the design ever so slightly, to up the contrast on the Anomalocarises. Our manufacturer was kind enough to send us this photo of the update:
On top of this blanket, we have other designs we hope to unlock during the campaign. This includes the Bed of Hypnos!
And more to come… We’ll also be offering the King’s Grave and Eyes of Antiquity blankets, of course, so you can nab one of our classics as well as the new ones!

CONVENTIONS
We have a few new additions to our convention line-up thanks to some waitlists we managed to get out of!
FIRST, this Saturday (tomorrow!), we’ll be doing a one-day event at Montreal’s Crossover Comics, for Free Comic Book Day! We won’t be offering comics for free, but… we’ll be there selling our comics, along with plenty of other cool creators! So if you’re around, feel free to drop on by!
SECOND, our next convention on the roster is MCAF/FBDM, on May 15-17th! We love this con, and we’re praying for nice weather for it since it’s outdoors. But rain or shine, we’ll be there, and hope you will be, too! We’ll be located in tent A05!
THIRD, we got into TCAF! We were originally waitlisted but a spot opened up. So, Toronto, we’re coming back to you a second time this year for a convention, and returning to the ever lovely TCAF on the weekend of June 6-7th!
MAKERS
Although Calgary Expo is over, Calgarians rejoice, because we’ll still have our wares there thanks to getting accepted into the Makers store in Market Mall! This is our first time working with them, but having visited the store earlier this year, I’m thrilled we were able to get in! Our shelf should be set up and ready to go by the end of May. So, if you missed us at Calgary Expo, or if you’re ever in Market Mall, check out the Makers store and find our shelf there!
I guess now’s a good time to remind that we’re in both the Montreal and Toronto Artist Alley stores, each with a shelf there, too! So if you manage to visit, check out our shelves there!
That’s pretty much it for now! Just a final reminder that Fangs and All is still up for preorder! Only 5 months until its release!!!
